I believe to be humble and show grace is not easy for the human race. We are all sinners and as sinners we are much more likely to act:
Prideful
Opinionated
Egotistic
Judgmental
Envious
Fault Finding
Arrogant
Disdainful
Haughty
Coveting
Greedy
Spiteful
Autocratic
Hard Headed
Vain
I think you clearly get the idea!
As sinners, it is NOT our natural talent or ability to be humble and to show grace. We believe being humble is probably impossible without some “outside help”. What type of “outside” help are we talking about? The outside help is God. We know of no other help that makes us humble and allows us to show grace.
Reviewing my past poems, I was surprised to find several dealing with “humility” and “being humble.” My hope is reading these poems on humbleness will raise your personal consciousness of the “power of being humble.”
As you read the poems below, you will see duplication in my words. There is duplication because being humble and having grace are two of the most difficult feelings for Mankind. Hopefully, repetition will help us to become more humble and possess the ability to show grace to others.
A few questions to jump-start a discussion on humbleness.
1. Do you act normally humble and with grace? If not, why?
2. What is the main reason most people have trouble being humble? Could it be a feeling of pride? Or, maybe being hard-headed?
3. Set a personal one-week goal to be more humble and show more grace. Write down your efforts. How did you do?

What does it mean to Be Humble?
To me, it means to “Take up the Towel”
We take up the towel to serve others
We take up the towel to wash other’s feet
Washing feet humbles us,
Helping us to get down on our knees to serve
Down on our knees to Pray
Down on our knees to receive His Blessings
For me, being on my knees helps in being Humble
Humbleness is not a normal human feeling
I believe only God can help us be Humble

Humility
Humility is tough
Humility is very, very difficult
Humility is almost impossible for Mankind
Why?
Because humility is not a normal human feeling
Humility does not exist in the natural world
A natural world where;
Survival is paramount
Existence is not necessarily assured
Self-preservation inherently exists in each of us
Pride, greed, and power are more normal natural feelings
How can humility ever enter the picture?
Impossible, without belief in a higher power
A belief there is a God, a belief Jesus is our Savior
Why is this so?
Because Jesus is the only one who taught us;
The power of humility
The essence of humbleness
Letting go to God and putting Him in control
Humbleness comes from the almightiness of God
Who Loves us and who gave up his Son for us
Anyone who realizes this and accepts Jesus as his Savior,
has the potential to be humble
It takes letting go as a human being and accepting Christ
That’s it. Pretty simple
I know of no other way to be humble

Earthly Kingdoms use power for control
Power to persuade
Power to convince
Power to Govern
Power is the opposite of humbleness
Which would YOU rather have?
Power or to be humble?
Which is more powerful?

Jesus was humble
His power of humbleness changed the world

Humbleness
I think humbleness or to be humble is the
toughest human trait or feeling
Being humble is such a powerful of enlightenment
The power of humbleness is in its subtleness,
non boisterous and non-aggressive attitude
Compared to being humble it is easier to be;
Aggressive
Mean
Neutral
Opinionated
Arrogant
Why is this so?
Because, to be humble is to be more like Jesus Christ
The humbleness of Jesus portrayed great power and peace
Being humble means having anti-human natural feelings
I think it is impossible to act humble unless,
Jesus is fully entrenched in your heart and soul
Natural humans or mankind do not naturally act humble
Humbleness comes from the Power of God in our hearts
Through Him, we have the means to be humble
Humbleness means to be like Jesus
Definitely not easy for all of us “natural sinners”
